Today the Year 5 & 6 Girls Performance team played St Marks in our second league game for the Ealing Girls Cup. We knew this was going to be an intense game as we knew they had many club-level players in their team.

 

The game started off even until suddenly St Marks managed to score an early goal. Fielding started to believe in themselves, and Flo G (6S) scored a goal from a counterattack. This goal gave the girls hope they could do this. Fielding were now dominating possession and continuously pressing towards the goal. Flo G (6S) was on fire she scored a further two goals resulting in her scoring a Hattrick.  At half time the score was 3 - 1 to Fielding. 

 

Going into the second half changes were made and Fielding scored two goals back to back by making early release passes. One was from Coco (5P) and one was from Qamara (5S). Both are beautiful goals that you would see in the premiership. Now the score was 5 - 1. The girls were confident that we would secure a victory.  They continued to press forwards and both Qamara (5S) and Coco (5P) scored their second goal each. 

 

As a whole defence did a great job keeping their opponents out and gave them very little room to score. They all hustled to ensure St Marks were unable to get to the ball. Thank you to our defenders Daisy (5P), Alice (5S), Martina (5S), Emily (6S), Adelaide (6S), Darcy (6P) and Miral (5H).

 

In attack, we had Flo G (6S), Qamara (5S) and Coco (5P) who made some great one-two passes to set each other up to score. 

 

Thank you also to Lois (5P) for ensuring no further goals went in. 

 

Well done Emily (6S) for her first trial in the performance team.

 

The final score was a huge 7- 1

 

Well done girls you all played really well and look forward to our game on 8th December against St Josephs.
