As this year draws to a close, I wanted to say a big thank you to Peter Dunmall, Clare Haines and the school staff at Fielding for all their efforts.

For all of us 2020 has been a tough year, and our thoughts are with those who have suffered during this pandemic and particularly those staff, parents and pupils who remain unwell.

Since Fielding re-opened, staff have made simply extraordinary efforts, going that extra mile to ensure that the school remain open and safe for all concerned and that no pupil be left behind whether they are learning at school or at home.  

It is testament to the hard work of the senior leadership and teaching staff that Fielding pupils have continued to thrive during this period despite all the challenges.

I would also like to thank parents, carers and the PTFA for their continued support. Although the Christmas fair and other fundraising events have not been possible, it has been heart-warming to see the school community continue to rally, with a staggering sum raised literally on the whim of a reindeer.

On behalf of the Governing Board at Fielding Primary, I would like to wish all pupils, parents, carers and staff a very Happy Christmas.

I hope you keep safe and well and we are looking forward to seeing you back in 2021.
