We have been advised by Public Health England of a confirmed case of COVID-19 within our Reception, Group 2 class bubble taught by Miss O'Neil. A pupil has tested positive. We wish them well. 

 

Symptoms included a runny nose. Whilst the official list of symptoms remains unchanged, parents of children are reporting a wider range of milder symptoms in their children before getting a positive test result for coronavirus. We urge you to be extra-cautious, trust your judgement and act on a change in health.

 

Children in Reception Group 2 need to stay at home and self-isolate. The last day of self-isolation is Thursday 11 February. Pupils may return to school on Friday 12 February.

 

We will switch to remote learning at home for children who have been asked to self-isolate.

 

Close contacts have been identified and contacted by email today. This includes:

• children who attended Reception Group 2 on Monday.
• staff members who were in close contact.

 

We know that you may find this worrying but we are continuing to monitor the situation. We are working with Public Health England, following their requirements for schools and have informed the local authority.
