Fielding widens its support for charities

Local and European charities to be sent shoeboxes this Christmas

During assembly today pupils were introduced to three charities. Following feedback from some parents, in addition to supporting the Samaritan's Purse appeal, we have increased choice for families by adding two other 'shoebox' gift options:

  • Rotary Shoebox Scheme, supporting the people of Eastern Europe, children to bring in their decorated shoeboxes (with £2), once numbers are known we will transfer the contents to the Rotary Club boxes, ready for collection.
  • A food-bank shoebox to be donated to a local,  Ealing foodbank.

"The original Samaritan’s Purse shoebox, along with the additional shoebox options, continue to be entirely voluntary at the discretion of parents.  Families may choose not to participate at all, support all or any of the charitable options," explained Peter Dunmall, Headteacher.

"Through our continued charity work pupils are given the opportunity to actively live our values such as Unity, Responsibility and Compassion, enabling the school community to make a positive contribution to the wider world." added Ms Biedul, Assistant Head.
