Have your financial circumstances changed? Could your child be entitled to our Pupil Premium Passport?

Free school meals/pupil premium funding

Did you know, all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive a free school meal whether their parents are in receipt of benefits or not, they could be receiving a whole lot more. If your child is in one of these year groups and you receive benefits,  we need you to apply for a free meal because applying for a free school meal is our only way of checking if your child is entitled to our Pupil Premium Passport.

For children in other year groups we need you to apply too. If eligible your child will get a free school meal and the added benefits below.

We receive extra funding for every child registered as eligible for a free school meal. We use this money to support your child's learning, for example through catch-up sessions, mentoring,  homework club, Bedrock Vocabulary programme and parent workshops and much much more!

At Fielding parents are also able to have a say in how some of this money is spent through our ‘pupil premium passport’ scheme. Parents and children get a change to preview and book an afterschool club or learn to play a musical instrument free of charge each term. Through the passport children have their very own mentor, have school residential trips paid for and receive books free of charge when authors visit, as well as getting an invitation to additional trips especially for them (COVID permitting).

During any period of school closure you will also get meal vouchers during school holidays from Ealing (COVID pandemic only).
