On Thursday 27tFebruary, we are planning an exciting event for the children in Years 3, 4 ,5 and 6. Lou Kuenzler, author of, ‘The Incredible Shrinking girl’ and ‘Finding Black Beauty’ will be visiting the school to talk about her books. Lou visits many schools and we are delighted that she is visiting us, especially so close to World Book Day. She will be talking to the children to provide inspiration for their own creative writing and enthusing them about the joy of reading. Afterwards there will be an opportunity for the children to buy a book and have it dedicated to them and signed by Lou. A signed book can be a permanent reminder of a special experience and can reinforce the message about the importance of reading. If you would like to purchase a book for your child, please could you send in £5 (cash only please) in a clearly marked envelope. They will be able to choose the book on the day. The following books will be available.
