KS2 Lunch Monitors

New for the summer term

Pupils have been telling us that they want to be more involved in helping out around school, and what better way than to volunteer time during their lunch break? 112 pupils in KS2 responded to a job advert asking for volunteers to do the following duties during lunchtime: Reception/KS1 monitor, bread or water monitor and table monitor. Today, the new Lunch Monitors were given their job offer letters detailing their responsibilities. “We were overwhelmed with the response to the job advert for Lunch Monitors. All applications were extremely strong, with a wide range of skills and expertise from the pupils.” Explained Mrs.Tate, Assistant Head.

Due to a high number of applications, there is a two-week rota (Cycle A and Cycle B). This will mean that some children will start their lunchtime half an hour early, one day every two weeks. “I am so happy to be selected to be a Lunch Monitor. I want to do all I can to help the school.” Commented Lily, Year 5.
