Today we played our local rival St Marks, they were off to a fiery start by scoring the first goal of the match. Fielding knew they had to press as a team and managed to set up Noah (6F) to score on the counter-attack. Gioele (6F) scored an absolute blinder from a free kick in the top right corner. Theo (6S) managed to whizz past St Mark's Defence and just before the ball went out managed to get 2 goals in the back of the net.  At half-time, the score was 4-3. After half time St Marks managed to score a further 3 goals which unfortunately meant we lost 6-4!

 

From now on we need to learn to communicate better in defence. There were some amazing saves by Jordi (6S) in goal. The scoreline could have been a lot worst had Jordi (6S) not saved several shots.

 

Well done to Ahmed (5F) for playing his first game in the performance team.

 

Sev (5S), Ishaaq (6F), Will (6H) and Gioele (6F) made some excellent defensive tackles. Tem (5F), Reuben (6S), and Aiden (6F) played some great one-two passes down the line it was just unfortunate they didn’t make it into the back of the net.
