Proposed new ARP building at school

School leaders, the Governing Board of the School and Ealing Council are proposing to develop an additionally resourced provision (ARP) at Fielding Primary School. The provision will be for up to 24 children who have special education needs. These pupils will have an education, health and care plan with needs on the Autistic Spectrum or related Speech, Language and Communications needs.

The Council is proposing to build an additional building on the school site to accommodate the extra pupils. A single storey building, located in the playground area next to the existing School House is planned.

I invited you to an initial, informal consultation which took place in September 2019. Some parents, many staff and some neighbours responded. This has helped us to plan the next stages so that we make this change in the best way possible.

Further information and frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the proposed additionally resourced provision are available on the school’s website:

The Council has published details of the proposal and a statutory notice about the change today. A copy of these are available on the school’s website (I will be pleased to provide a copy on paper, if requested):

The Council is seeking any objections and comments about the proposal by 16 December.

Ealing Council has made a planning application for the new building. A planning application has been submitted (but may not be ‘live’ yet) on Ealing’s planning portal for public viewing and comments:

You may share your views about the planning application through Ealing’s planning portal.
