PTFA: Getting to know other parents in your child's class
Fielding prides itself on its community atmosphere. However, the past 18 months of Covid restrictions has meant that many parents joining the school over the last two years have not really had a chance to get to know each other - or match them to the pupils' names in their own child's class. WhatsApp groups can be daunting and the opportunity to chat at the school gates difficult.
That is why the PTFA uses a platform called ClassList which allows parents to see who else is in their son/daughter's class. ClassList also doubles up as a communications function for the PTFA for news, events and fundraising efforts. You'll also be able to find out who your Class Rep is (although we have a few gaps across the school) and hear from parents about where last year's £30,000 is being spent.
ClassList can be downloaded as an app or used via a web browser. You can decide how regularly you want to receive information - normally a weekly email on a Thursday will suffice.
