Times Table Rock Star winners:, congratulations to 6F!

Congratulations to 6F who scored an overall 2,970 points over the Easter break on Times Tables Rock Stars and the overall top player prize went to 6F’s Rocker B. Thriller (Ryad Madid)! Well done 6F and Ryad, extremely impressive scores.

Overall, many pupils have shown real excitement and enjoyment from participating in all battles completed so far and are determined to be the next Fielding Band winners. We are seeing that pupils are proud that they had the opportunity to contribute towards their band and collate points collectively as a team.

From this term, pupils will participate in weekly ‘mini battle of the bands’ within year groups and the top scoring class and pupil within each year group will be awarded a certificate during Phase Assemblies. We hope this will continue to motivate and challenge pupils whilst creating that friendly, competitive flare within year groups and classes.

Please continue to encourage practice at home for a minimum of three minutes in any of the game stages as we have seen a rapid increase in fluency in KS2 from the regular practice taking place in school and at home. This will now contribute to running battles throughout the week for individual achievements.

Since investing in TTRS and its programme we have noticed that pupils are rapidly recalling tables and overall showing great confidence and motivation to be even better mathematicians.

A massive well done to all KS2 band members for participating and fulfilling your roles by showing great teamwork to earn points for your class band.

The next KS2 battle will be over the May half-term so continue to practice until then to boost your speed, fluency and confidence!
