In Year 3 this week we have been bringing together our work on Greek myths in order to write a final draft. We have spent time reflecting on our first draft to edit and improve sentences. Children have focused on different areas while editing and improving, including our grammar focuses, which they have written to fit with their stories. To add extra detail in their descriptions, we have used the power of three. Since editing and improving, children have begun writing their final drafts aiming to include all of the features we have found a necessary to form a Greek myth. The final drafts are looking excellent, with children taking lots of care to ensure they are using their best handwriting and focusing on a range of sentence structures. Miss Allen, Year 3 lead teacher, commented, ‘It is always lovely to see the children take such pride and care in completing a piece of work.’
