Year 3 go hopping mad for English

Year 3 have started to read and work with ‘The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane’. The children have explored the changes in Edward’s feelings and emotions along his journey by using their inference skills. Children wrote a diary entry in the role of Edward and have begun to develop their editing and improving skills in order to up level their writing. A Year 3 child stated ‘This has been useful because it has helped me to see the steps I need to take to improve my writing.’
