Year 5&6 Cross Country team crowned Champions!

UPDATE

Provisional results are in and unless there are deemed to be any discrepancies by competing schools Fielding have been crowned Cross Country Champions again!

Fielding won a very close boys competition by just 6 points to reclaim the Boys Shield. We finished 2nd in the girls competition, which was won by Notting Hill and Ealing Junior School. Finally, when the boys and girls scores were combined we finished as outright winners, beating St. Mark's in second place by over 100 points to reclaim the Overall Shield again too!

A huge well done to the whole Cross Country team again - you are this years champions!

On Thursday 7th October, Fielding took a team of 36 Year 5 and 6 Cross country runners to this years Featherstone School Sport Partnership races. The runners were divided into Year 5 girls, Year 5 boys, Year 6 girls and Year 6 boys races each of them measuring 1.5km. Every one of our team ran great races with many looking like they achieved excellent times. We were also very happy to see Jack in Year 6 winning the the Year 6 boys race ahead of over 200 other runners! We now need to wait for the organisers to review all of the finishing times and positions to find out how the team faired against other schools on the whole. Fingers crossed!
