Year 6 took a day off from all the hard working they have been doing this year to have a fun and educational day out at the British Museum.

The pupils spent the morning exploring the museum’s exhibitions, displays and artefacts. They pupils were even allowed to handle a few of the artefacts on display, some of which were thousands of years old.

After picnicking in Russell Square for lunch, the pupils returned to the museum where the afternoon was spent watching a film all about the Vikings, a topic the pupils already knew a lot about from their Term 1 Learning Challenge Curriculum –Where the Vikings always vicious and victorious?

Overall, the day was a huge success and the behaviour of the children was outstanding.
