Why Times Tables Matter?

Fluency and instant recall of times tables are essential for many future maths topics. Quick mental maths operations free up working memory for more challenging tasks, laying a strong foundation for pupils' success in mathematics. This practice is not just about winning a competition; it's about building skills that will benefit our pupils throughout their academic journey and beyond.

Progress and Achievements
We are incredibly proud of the progress our pupils have made. The engagement and improvement in times tables fluency have been remarkable. This competition has shown that with consistent practice, our pupils can achieve great things.

Keep the Momentum Going!
Even though this Battle of the Bands has come to an end, we encourage all pupils to continue practising their times tables regularly. The "little and often" technique promoted by TTRS is key to maintaining and improving fluency. Just 3-10 minutes of practice, three times a week, can make a significant difference.

Thank you to all pupils, parents, and teachers for your support and participation. Let's keep rocking those times tables and building a strong foundation for future success!

Rock on, Fielding pupils! 🎸
