Fielding Primary School has been honoured with the prestigious Barclays Equal Access School of the Year Award for 2024, recognising its outstanding commitment to providing equal opportunities for both girls and boys to participate in football.

The award celebrates Fielding’s dedication to ensuring that all pupils, regardless of gender, have access to quality coaching, competitive matches, and extracurricular football activities. The school has set a shining example by encouraging girls to participate in school leagues and tournaments alongside the boys, empowering them to develop their skills and passion for the sport.

Miss Pasha, Head of PE at Fielding, expressed her pride in the achievement: “As someone who played football at county level and for Brentford FC, it’s amazing to see how far we’ve come in promoting girls’ football. At Fielding, we believe every child should have the chance to experience the joy of playing football, and this award is a testament to our pupils' hard work, enthusiasm, and the unwavering support from the school.”
