Supporting the Charity - Shelter

Each year, we invite our children to select three charities they would like to support. We choose one local charity, one national charity, and one global charity to focus on throughout the school year. For more details on how we choose these charities, please click here.

So far this year, we have already held a successful fundraiser for our local charity, The Log Cabin, during the Autumn term, raising £724. On Wednesday, 30th April, we will hold our second charity event to support the national charity, Shelter.

On this day, our pupils will learn about the importance of supporting charities, and how this ties in with one of our school values: empathy. During this half term, our Year 4 classes have been planning the event as part of their RHSE lessons. They have designed posters to promote the event, which will be displayed throughout the school.

We kindly ask families to donate a small contribution (suggested £1) on Wednesday, 30th April, to support this charity. Each class will work together to cover a picture of the charity’s logo with their donations. All funds raised will be collected from each class and donated to Shelter to support the vital work they do.

We will keep you updated on the total amount raised for this charity.
