Last week, the Year 6 Science Fair, which took place over three days, was a huge success.

Every pupil in Year 6 worked either independently or in a small group to come up with an original scientific question to investigate. The pupils then carried out their investigations and research over half term. The pupils then showcased their projects to the rest of the school and to parents.

The Fair was a phenomenal success. It was amazing to see how much thought, effort and scientific thinking had gone into the projects. In addition, the projects were beautifully presented and the children were able to present, discuss and answer questions about their project very articulately using scientific vocabulary.

It wasn't only parents and staff who were impressed though. Pupils from Reception to Year 5 were invited to the experience too. One child in Reception commented, "It was the best day ever!"

The four finalists, who will be representing Fielding Primary School at the Ellen Wilkinson Science Fair on Wednesday 29th June, are:
