Pupils returned to school welcoming improvement works over the Easter holiday. Improvements include:
- Technology. Complete replacement of 120 desktop PCs, including both ICT rooms for pupils and upgrade of teachers' Surface devices. The school now operates entirely from the cloud. This gives pupils and staff greater flexibility to work and better maintenance at lower cost to keep us up and running.
- Year 4 toilets. Complete refurbishment, strip out of old and tired fixtures and fittings. Replacement with new toilets, sinks, cubicles and redecoration. Urinals removed and replaced with additional pan cubicles. Toilets remain gender specific for now but this gives us the option of shifting to gender neutral facilities at a later stage when other toilet areas are refurbished.
- Playground. New pirate ship for play in the sandpit to replace rotten pirate ship. 4 sets of 4-square markings for small ball games. Uneven playground resurfaced.
- Nursery. New door and wall to better separate Dragonfly and Grasshopper classrooms. Further improvement works to Nursery to take place during the summer holiday, including replacement floor and toilets.
- Kitchen. Redecoration so that school meals are prepared and served from a clean and safe environment.
