Constellation team and values baccalaureate, fresh new look
Our constellation teams and values baccalaureate are getting a fresh new look. We will be launching this with the children in Monday's assembly.
For Years 4, 5 and 6, there are now 4 levels for the values baccalaureate. We have added a new platinum level, in recognition that some children are are ready to move on to this stage.
We have also created a 'hall of fame', recognising those children who have already achieved bronze, silver or gold.
Completing each stage of the baccalaureate will now also contribute to the overall constellation points total, children will be awarded the coloured constellation tokens for each level they achieve; 5 for bronze, 10 for silver, 15 for gold, 25 for platinum.
We will share a list by class and constellation so that Star Leaders can keep a close eye on this and motivate and offer advice children in their own constellation to get started on working towards these awards.
To achieve each of the levels, a portfolio of work should be put together to show how each of the tasks have been met and how this links in with our values (not electronic). This should be shared with the class teacher. Awards will then be awarded by myself or Mr Dunmall in the Monday assembly.

To increase children's sense of belonging and to raise the status of the constellations each child will receive one of our new constellation badges (see image below) I am hoping these will arrive in school next week. Star Leaders will have more of a role in promoting and supporting children in their own constellation team.

Star Leader hustings for next year's star leaders will take place on 6th June. Current Year 5 children have been asked to start preparing for this. Click on the link below to find this year's criteria.
