February half-term week is just around the corner, the childcare team are ready to welcome your children and have prepared an action packed week full of playful opportunities and new experiences. Highlights include trip to the Water and Steam Museum, where children can let off some steam by taking part in an interactive and exciting workshop ‘Victorian wash day’ run by the experienced museum staff. Then its all aboard the famous Thomas Wicksteed locomotive for a ride driven by steam. Children will also explore the fantastic Splash Zone, they will be amazed to discover unexpected ways of moving water by using gears, wheels, buckets, pipes, pumps and more. On Tuesday children may also enjoy a visit to Walpole Park adventure playground, there they are free to engage in spontaneous free play, using the equipment and rich natural resources to enhance their play experience. There are many other activities to keep the children engaged during the week, including a street dance workshop by the Avenue Dance Company, cooking scrumptious samosas and fruity Florentine's and of course plenty of art and craft activities.
