On Thursday, last week Fielding took a team of Year 5 athletes to Perivale athletics track to compete in this years Featherstone Athletics competition. Our 16 athletes were due to compete across 4 track and 4 field events against 15 other primary schools.

We were competitive in each of the events but were also very pleased to medal in 3 different events as we won silver in the girls 80m, silver in boys 600m and silver in the boys long jump. Consistency across each of the other events also meant that as a team we finished in 5th place.

Considering we had a team made up of entirely of Year 5 pupils against mostly Year 6 students this was a great result. A huge well done to each one of of our athletes for representing the school so well.
