Football squad training after Easter

Trials for Year 4 and 5 boys and girls squads

As I am sure many parents are aware Fielding has done very well with football this year. The boys squad were beaten finalists in the Featherstone tournament at the start of the year, winners of the Brentford Kids cup, beaten semi finalists in the South of England Kids Cup and still have a Peal Shield final to play. The girls squad have also enjoyed some success this year, themselves winning silver medals at the Featherstone girls tournament. The current squads have represented the school fantastically this year and have set a standard for us which we want to maintain and possibly even surpass next year.

After all of this football, the Year 5 and 6 competitive football calendar is now winding down for us and so we are starting to look forwards to next years squads. Therefore after Easter it will be Year 4 and 5 footballers being invited to squad training. To give everybody the chance to be in the squad we are opening up the first session back for boys and girls to anybody that wants to try out for the squad. From the children that turn up for that first session we will pick boys and girls squads to train for the rest of this year and the start of next year. As was the case this year, squad lists will be under review every term with players potentially coming into and leaving the squads.

Boys squad training will run every Wednesday morning from 7.45am-8.45am and girls squad training will run Thursday morning from 7.45am-8.45am.

Open trial sessions

Boys - 13th April, 7.45am - 8.45am

Girls - 14th April, 7.45am - 8.45am
