Has your child received a positive note this week? Find out more about how we reward positive behaviour.

Did you know adults in school record positive behaviour as well as unacceptable behaviour on MCAS?

Teachers and other adults in school add a positive note to MCAS to recognise positive achievements, acts of kindness, going over and above to show the school values.

Pupils are rewarded in many others ways in school too. these include:

  • praise, for doing the right things, following our school values, being polite, helping others.
  • a star token 'positive point', for making good choices throughout the day,

Positive points are also awarded for:

  • Star of the Week certificate, linked to excellent work - awarded in assembly
  • Values Ambassador certificate, for demonstrating our school values, awarded in assemblies
  • Reading certificates for reading books from our recommended lists, awarded in assemblies
  • Values Baccalaureate, for completing each of 4 levels of our baccalaureate

Positive points all contribute towards team constellation points and individual certificates for pupils.

You can see a record of these rewards on MCAS in the behaviour widget or by selecting behaviour from the left hand menu bar.
