In March the PTFA launched a crowdfunding platform to raise funds to build a Secondhand Uniform Shop and Bike Repair Shed.  The PTFA had six weeks to hit the £3,000 target which closed at Easter.  We are thankful for those parents that contributed towards the funds as this unlocked access to other grants and pots of money elsewhere.  We managed to attract £1,500 from British Cycling early on, then £1,500 from the William Hobbayne Charity (based in Hanwell) and finally the London Poverty Fund also donated £1,500.  The £6,000 total will allow the PTFA to not only build the new structures to open the secondhand uniform and bike repair shop on a monthly basis, but also the opportunity to train up interested parties with bike repair skills via a City & Guilds programme. 

Work will now begin on getting this new venture up and running.  We cannot run this initiative without volunteers, so if you would like to volunteer in running the Secondhand Uniform shop then please email FieldingPTFA@gmail.com
