Risk of further industrial action

Talks between teacher unions and the government ended this week. Union leaders are recommending that their members reject the government's offer. There is a risk of further industrial action which could mean the school is forced to close.

The National Education Union (NEU) has announced another two potential strike days in England. Any action depends on the views of union members. The result of their ballot will be announced on Monday 3rd April. If the deal is turned down, the next two days of strike action in England will be:

  • Thursday 27th April,
  • Tuesday 2nd May.

Parents may wish to make contingency arrangements in the event of strike action and the school being closed or partially closed.

Year 4's residential trip is due to take place on 2nd May. We are looking at re-arranging this trip to remove the risk. More details to follow.
