Promotions, retirement, leavers and joiners

Alison Griffiths, Lunchtime Supervisor

Having had a connection with Fielding for the last 22 years as a parent and then for the last 14 years as a Lunchtime Supervisor, Mrs Griffiths, has decided to retire at the end of this term.  We all wish Alison a very happy retirement.  Children will have a chance to say a last goodbye during an assembly in the final week.

Bridget Power, School Business Manager

Miss Power leaves us at the end of next week (Friday 27th November) having gained a promotion to become School Business Manager at Montpelier Primary School.  Bridget reaches her 10th anniversary of working at Fielding this week. 

During this time, Bridget has taken on more and more responsibility for the smooth running of the school.  School Business Managers often work 'behind the scenes' but ensure that essential premises, facilities, personnel and finance functions work seamlessly.  Bridget is highly valued and respected by her colleagues in school and beyond.

Bridget was instrumental in keeping the school running during building expansion works and helped secure the quality of premises that we all now enjoy. 

We wish Bridget continued success in her role at her new school.

Teacher leavers - Miss O'Brien & Miss Collins

Teachers, Miss O'Brien and Miss Collins leave us at the end of this school term.  We welcome Miss Oliver to teach in Year 3 from January and continue to recruit to the Year 5 vacancy.  Please see letters to individual classes for more details:
