Do you have time to listen to children read in school?

On Tuesday 11th October we will be hosting two sessions for you to come in an sign-up to volunteer in school.

We are looking for parent volunteers to:

• listen to children read in all year groups
• help out on trips/sporting events  in all year groups
• provide handwriting support in key-stage 1
• support our youngest children in Reception with reading, and fine motor skills,
• help us tidy and organise our key-stage 1 and key-stage 2 libraries.

If you are interested in finding out more, and can volunteer on a regular basis, please drop-in to one of our sessions on 11th October at 9:15am or 2:45pm.

All new volunteers will be asked to complete our volunteer application form and agreement.

Parents are unable to volunteer in school or on school trips on a regular basis (more than once in every four weeks) without a valid DBS check, therefore will require you to apply for one before you start your volunteering role. DBS checks can be arranged through school, details will be provided at our sessions on the 11th October.

If you have already completed our volunteer agreement, and have a valid DBS you do not need to completed these documents again.

We understand that some parents will want to volunteer to accompany your child's class or year group on a school trip or sporting event as a one off event, this can be done without a valid DBS, however you will need to be supervised by a school member of staff and you will need to complete our  off-site volunteer agreement.
