World Book Day is fast approaching and this year, on Thursday 5th March, we'd like the children to be inspired by their love of vocabulary. This has been a real focus across the school this year and so, we invite children and staff to come dressed as a word. Some pupils might want to dress as a favourite book character and add a word to their costume to reflect that character. Others might want to gather clothes from indoors, representing a word. The choice is yours. A quick web search 'world book day dress up as a word' might give some ideas and inspiration:

To prepare for World Book Day, we will be welcoming visits from two children's authors. Lou Kuenzler will be be visiting children in KS2 on Thursday 27th February and Andrew Weale will be joining classes in Nursery, Reception and KS1 on Wednesday 4th March. Further details on how books can be purchased by these two authors will be provided soon.
