Lots of exciting things have being happening  in Y1 since the beginning of 2017!

Readathon started on 9^th of January and is taking place for one whole month. Children from the whole school have chosen what they are going to read and have asked family and friends to sponsor them. Family members are able donate the money on the readathon website (www.readathon.org). Children in Year 1 have shown particular enthusiasm.

‘I’m trying to read all the Roald Dahl books’, said James from 1P. Matilda is also excited and said that she is hoping to read all of the books that she has chosen. All the children are excited about the new books which have arrived for the book corners in the school and cannot wait for the book fair to open next week!
