Yesterday, Thursday 25th January, Fielding took 2 teams to Featherstone High School to take part in a Sitting Volleyball competition.

 

This was a new sport and opportunity for many of the children as they had never seen it or played it before. Children had to play in teams of 6 and remain seated throughout the game. The aim was to work as a team and hit the ball over the net to score a point, with the team that gets 10 points first or is leading after the time had finished, winning the game.

Year 5 & 6 Results

Vs John Perryn – 6:10

Vs Featherstone Primary – 10:9

 

Unfortunately, neither the Year 3 & 4 or Year 5 & 6 teams were able to make it through to the quarter finals, despite their determination and efforts but with each game they all showed improvement and got better. They also demonstrated fantastic resilience and teamwork, supporting each other throughout the competition which was so great to see. Well done to them all!
