We have been advised by Public Health England of a confirmed case of COVID-19 within Year 3 and 4. Amanda Gleeson, Higher Level Teaching Assistant, has tested positive. We wish her well.

Mrs Gleeson works across Year 3 and Year 4 to help small groups and individual pupils catch-up. She is likely to have been infectious on Thursday 17 December and Friday 18 December.

Close contacts have been identified and contacted by email today. This includes:

• Year 3, Thursday before school club, 16 pupils
• Year 3, Thursday support and interventions, 2 pupils
• Year 3, Friday support and interventions, 3 pupils
• Year 4, Friday support and interventions, 2 pupils
• If we have not contacted you, then your child has not been identified by us as a close contact.

These pupils and members of staff will now self-isolate at home for up to 10 days before returning to their usual activities. It is important that we all play our part in reducing the spread of infection in our school and community.

We know that you may find this worrying but we are continuing to monitor the situation. We are working with Public Health England, following their requirements for schools and have informed the local authority.
