Make an informed choice. 

Taster days during Year 5 and visits from local Head teachers have started to help Year 6 children choose their next school.  Acton High Head, Dr. Andy Sievewright spoke to children last week.  Coming soon:

· Brentford School for Girls, 19th Sept, 10am (children only)

· Elthorne Park, 23rd Sept, 2pm (children only)

· Ealing Fields, 30th Sept, 7pm (children & parents)

“Each school usually has its own specialism and individual style.  We encourage children and parents to visit a range of schools to gain a feel for the school.  Many open evenings are taking place over the next few weeks—check school websites for details,” explained Mrs Kashif, Transition Leader.  Find out more, web-search or click:

· 31st October, application deadline for a Year 7 high school place to start in September 2015

Destinations of Year 6 leavers. 

Last year, 55 children transferred to Elthorne Park High School from Fielding.  A further 6 children transferred to Drayton Manor and 5 to Twyford C of E high schools.  The remaining children transferred to 18 different independent and state-maintained schools in and beyond Ealing.
