Committed to being Resilient!

Stacked against the odds, Year 4s have proven that through flexibility, determination and adaptability, it is possible to self-regulate, reflect and improve their own writing.  Challenged with the daunting  task of creating a first person narrative quest through the streets of London, they have all shown resilience by successfully completing their personal journey of planning, writing, editing and  re-writing a final draft full of mystery, suspense and intrigue.   Yes, truly epic!

This half term has been full of moral and ethical debate, with the exploration of Fair Trading practices through PSHE and what it means to sacrifice for a greater good.   Community and commitment were the focus in RE where leading by example with compassion and tolerance will make us all better global citizens of the world.  Community clubs have been set up, leadership wanted posters and information brochures have all been made with just policies and fairness for all members in mind.

Finally, this term’s creative home learning has once again proven to be a huge success, with some bridge designs that would rival any Victorian engineer!  Maps, poems, landmarks, PowerPoints, performances, disgusting digestive systems and vivid recounts of the infamous night at the museum, all served to stimulate and spur on deeper understanding of all of this half term’s topics.  Well done to all of Year 4, only one more half term to go till Year 5!
