School events and activities are postponed at least until half-term. We are not planning new dates until the government tells us when schools will re-open.

 

Parent consultation meetings are postponed because assessment week, when we use tests in reading and maths to help us know how much pupils know and remember, has also been postponed.

• Pupil assessments are likely to take place in the first or second week of re-opening with parent consultation meetings following 2-3 weeks later.

 

Class assemblies for Year 4 and Class 1H are postponed.

• We will re-schedule to other Friday mornings, holding 2 or more assemblies on each Friday morning, so that all classes present to parents.

 

Cooking lessons are postponed.

• We will resume when school re-opens, adjusting our published plan if needed so that all pupils have a similar number of lessons.

 

Gardening lessons. We are looking at ways to share something by video with all pupils.

Assemblies continue by video for those learning at home or in school.

• Weekly Values-based video assembly by Clare Haines or Peter Dunmall.
• Star Leader video assembly by Year 6 pupils.
• Parliament style assembly, where we hear views of pupils in some way.

 

Creative home learning that is usually set when we are open to complete at home is postponed. All pupils, learning at home or in school, complete the same work set by teachers as part of the school day.

 

February half-term Holiday Club is for children of key-workers and pupils who are vulnerable only.

 

Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 residential trips. Summer term dates remain unchanged. Provisional bookings unchanged and optimistic that these may go ahead.

 

Governing Board and committee meetings remain unchanged. Agendas adjusted to reflect school closure.
