Hercules win Sports Constellation Cup

The year has finally come to and end and it has ended with a fantastic week of sports! Every single child from Nursery to Year 6 participated in Sports Day and by the looks on their faces it seemed as though every one of them enjoyed it!

Cygnus athletics champions

This week, children from Year 1 to Year 6 competed in the final Constellation Cup competition at their Sports Day and it was clear from the effort they put in that they all wanted to win. Unfortunately there could only be one winner and that was Cygnus! After adding up all of the points from the week it was Cygnus who claimed the athletics trophy and the right to hold it aloft in front of the rest of the school.

Hercules Constellation Cup champions

However, we were all also biting our nails waiting to find out who won the Constellation Cup. In order to win the Constellation Cup you must have been consistent across every competition since September and accumulated the most amount of points. Unbelievably, after 6 whole school competitions the winning constellation won by just 4 points!

A huge, and very well deserved congratulations to Hercules for being that constellation and winning the first ever Fielding PE and Sport Constellation Cup!

To read more about sports day and to check out some of our great pictures taken by our Year 6 helpers get over to the PE Page now.

Unfortunately, we had some camera problems on Friday for Year 5 and 6 Sports Day so if any parents have any pictures of the children that they would like to see published on the school website please send them in!

Feedback welcome

One last thing...we are very happy with all of the children's effort and achievements this year across PE and Sport but we still want to see that improve further. In order for that to happen we need to make sure we are continuing to develop ourselves. With that in mind please feel free to send in any feedback you have with regards to PE and Sport this year at Fielding. This could be anything from the beginning of the year right up to Sports Day.

We would love to hear what you think we have done well and also where you think we could improve so don't be shy!

That is it from the PE team for this year. We hope everybody has a lovely summer break and we look forward to seeing everybody fresh for the new year.
