Dress-up, donate £1 and/or donate a book to class libraries

Some teachers and pupils in the school are looking forward to dressing up as their favourite book character for World Book Day next Thursday.  Other children may wish to also bring in £1 to donate to Book Aid, while others may wish to donate a reading book to class reading libraries.  The choice is yours.

We will be be celebrating all things books with an afternoon of fun-filled activities including year group book character parades for those who have dressed-up. Older pupils in the school will be visiting younger ones to buddy up for some paired reading and story-telling sessions and pupils will be entering the 'design a national book token competition.'

On the day, your child will receive a world book day token which will enable them to pick up a free world book day book or money off at their local bookseller. We look forward to seeing all the fantastic characters next Thursday!
