  • £1637.80 raised through Readathon!

    Fri 28 Apr 2017 P.Whaley

This week, we were notified that Fielding’s pupils raised a grand total of £1637.80 through Readathon. During January, pupils throughout the school set themselves a challenge to read as many books as possible. They gained sponsorship from their family and friends which contributed towards books and resources for sick children in hospital. As a result of all the money raised, Fielding received a book voucher to the value of £327.56. Daniel in Year 1 stated, ‘I didn’t think I would manage to read 20 books but I did! I feel proud of myself and I have got even better at reading!’

  • Easter Holiday Club

    Thu 27 Apr 2017

Children arrived at the holiday club full of excitement and anticipation for the activities and days out. The week started off with a visit to Ealing Fire station, the morning was fun and educational with a safety workshop then fun out in the courtyard with the hose and engine.

The Northala trip was a really positive and memorable experience for the children and staff. The weather was warm with clear skies, which provided a fantastic view from the top of the hill across the London skyline. Children named many landmarks including The Shard, The Gherkin, London Eye and Wembley arch. After trekking up and rolling down the hills the children played in the adventure play area or made kites.

Finally, on Thursday we ventured to Hounslow Urban Farm, this was the busiest trip to date; the children were courageous when petting the farm and exotic animals (however, the same could not be said for the staff!). During the last demonstration of the day the children gasped and giggled as the Eagle Owl swooped over their heads in the marquee.

In addition to the days out children created their own tie dye t-shirts, baked then decorated tasty muffins and raced each other in the sunshine hunting for Easter eggs.

The next holiday club will be May Half Term 30th May - 2nd June.

Bookings open on Tuesday 2nd May 2017 with the activity plan available on the website.

    Wed 26 Apr 2017

Please be reminded Summer Term childcare and specialist club fees are now due.

There are two ways to pay, in full or 50% now and the remainder by 2nd June.

Please log into Laser to ensure your child’s cashbook is in order. If you are experiencing difficulties paying, contact the Childcare and Clubs Manager as soon as possible to discuss options childcare@fielding.ealing.sch.uk

Childcare and Specialist clubs often work in partnership, if you have booked a specialist club please make sure you have also booked the after school club to complement your booking if needed.

Sometimes the unexpected happens; rest assured Adhoc childcare bookings are always available for parents running late or in need of childcare, bookable through Laser before 2pm on the day.
