• PTFA SAVE THE DATE – Summer Fair to Celebrate 70 Years of Fielding – 29th June

  The PTFA is extremely excited to announce that Fielding’s Summer Fair will take place on Saturday 29^th June. This year’s fair will be extra special as it will commemorate 70 years of Fielding School!

  The Summer Fair is one of the PTFA’s primary fundraisers in the year and is always immensely popular with Fielding families – it will have the usual mix of stalls, activities, entertainment, and food – with an anniversary twist!

  If you would like to get involved in the organising team, please email fieldingPTFA@gmail.com or tune in to one of Monday’s PTFA meetings to hear more and share ideas – we are always on the lookout for new suggestions!

• PTFA Second Hand Uniform Shop opens on its first anniversary (20 April)

  The PTFA's Secondhand Uniform Shop celebrates its first anniversary this month. In that time, we have had roughly a sale every month of the school year and raised an average of £300 at each one. This excludes the Christmas and Summer fairs which always had popular uniform sales. We estimate that over 1,400 pieces of uniform (both branded and non-branded) have been purchased at the shop supporting countless families and reducing the amount going to landfill.
  The shop is open once a month on either a Friday afternoon 3:30-4:30 or a Saturday morning 10:00-11:30, and dates can be found on the school calendar. Donations can be brought to the shop during the opening hours or left with the school office. The Fielding PTFA Uniform shop sells both branded and non-branded items in sizes from nursery all the way up to and included year 6, with prices ranging form 30p to £4 per item. If you haven’t visited yet, the shop is in the reception playground, next to the sports hall.
  
  The shop is organised and staffed exclusively by volunteers. In order to build on the success of the first year and to continue to provide this valuable service to the Fielding community we need more supporters to ensure the sales can continue to take place. • Termly Safeguarding Assembly, keeping your child happy and safe. Monday 22nd April

  Termly Safeguarding assembly for children in Years 1-6

  During assembly on Monday Mr Dunmall and I will be talking to the children about how to keep themselves safe. We will help the children understand that it is their right to be happy and safe and to encourage the understanding that any problem or worry that they may have is legitimate, and to share their worries – big or small – with their trusted adult; at home, at school, or with ChildLine.  

   
  During the assembly we focus on  different forms of abuse, and an how to recognise the signs of harm or abuse, including child on child and domestic abuse an online safety these topics will be tackled in an age-appropriate way and child will be given time to discuss the issues are any worries with their class teacher after the assembly.  We will be using the video 'Share Some Secrets' based on a book by children’s author Christina Gabbitas supported by the NSPCC, to talk about abuse and how to share it with trusted adults

• School & Nursery term dates to July 2026

  School term and holiday dates from September 2025 to July 2026 are now available. Nursery and school holiday childcare dates are also included. 

   

  Attendance at Fielding continues to be very high, reflecting the way that our families value their children's education so highly. Please continue to make all holiday and other travel arrangements during school holiday periods.

   

  Our assessment information shows that the more days pupils are in school, the more likely they are to succeed.
