  • PTFA: Is your child running the Ealing Mini Mile (23 Sept)?

    Thu 21 Sep 2023 PTFA

The PTFA knows that there are many pupils taking part in the Ealing Mini Mile on 23 Sept and that pupils are keen to raise money for our charitable activities!  This is absolutely wonderful to hear and hopefully a testament to the enjoyment pupils get from activities that are funded by the PTFA - which include Forest School, Kitchen Garden, Drumming and School Trips amongst others experiences.

We already have fundraising pages set up for the following groups (so feel free to donate - and we can claim GiftAid):

    All Year 1 Classeshttps://cafdonate.cafonline.org/24348

    Class 2P: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/24462

    Class 2H: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/24401

    Class 3P: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/24402

    Class 5Phttps://cafdonate.cafonline.org/24349

    Class 5Shttps://cafdonate.cafonline.org/24389

If you would like the PTFA to set up a dedicated fundraising page for a particular class where there are multiple pupils running, please get in touch by emailing fieldingPTFA@gmail.com. We'll be able to provide you with landing pages and totalisers alongside social media assets to promote to family and friends about your child's involvement. It's a great way to raise money from outside the parent community.

  • Staff unwell with COVID

Tue 12 Sep 2023 Peter Dunmall

There is an increase in the number of members of staff who are becoming ill with COVID. So far this term:

    • 1 member of staff, week 1;
    • 3 members of staff, including a year 6 teacher, week 2.

We continue to follow Ealing's guidance for staff in schools. Whilst we are living with COVID, staff who have symptoms and a positive result, should stay at home for 5 days.

If a class teacher tests positive, we will cover the class using our own Cover Supervisors and/or agency (supply) teachers.

We will tell you by email if a class teacher, or other adult who works regularly with a class, tests positive so that you can take any precautionary measures for vulnerable family or household members.

We are not implementing any other measures or changes at this stage.

We are very proud to continue to provide a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to attend cooking sessions. These sessions take place with their class teacher, within the School House kitchen, during the school day.

An annual voluntary contribution of £12.00 has been added to MCAS to cover the cost of ingredients, required to supplement the fresh ingredients provided from the school garden. This fee covers sessions for the whole school year, from September 2023 until July 2024.

This fee is voluntary, however, without the support of our parents, we would be unable to provide an opportunity such as this for our pupils.

To make payment, please log into your MCAS account. The fee can be located by selecting the 'Products' icon and then 'Voluntary Contributions' from the left hand menu.
