Fielding
Primary School and Nursery
Keep up to date with all the news happening in the school at the moment. Articles are added during the week. Parents are encouraged to check regularly. Our weekly bulletin, emailed directly to parents, summarises content for the week.
In a thrilling encounter between Fielding's Year 4 Boys team and Holy Family Boys Team, it was Fielding who emerged victorious in a tightly contested match. The game kicked off with both teams showing great determination and skill, resulting in an intense first half with a scoreline of 0-0.
However, it was in the second half that the action truly unfolded. Fielding Primary's Xavi (4H) and Jamie Reily (4F) showcased their exceptional talent by scoring two fantastic goals, much to the delight of their teammates and supporters. Xavi's goal displayed finesse and precision, while Jamie Reily's strike was a display of power and accuracy.
Despite Holy Family Boys Team's valiant efforts, they were unable to find the back of the net, as our boys defense stood firm throughout the match. Myles M (4H) did an excellent job in goal and made some wonderful saves. The final whistle blew with Fielding Primary emerging victorious with a 2-0 win over Holy Family Boys Team.
It was a commendable performance from both sides, but ultimately, it was Fielding who claimed the well-deserved victory, thanks to the outstanding contributions of all the players.
Special thanks to...
Oscar (4S), Jamie L (4H), Samuel S (4H), Patrick (4H), Reuben (4S), Toby (4S), William (4H), Jamie R (4F), Myles (4H), Xavi (4H)
Class Reps and any parents interested in PTFA activities are invited to join one of two online PTFA meetings on Monday 26th February. We'll discuss the current status of our fundraising efforts, including the recent (and hugely successful Quiz Night)!
Do you want to know what the PTFA plans are for the coming months? We still have quite few events to deliver and each year group will need to deliver one major event during the course of the academic year (excluding the Summer/Christmas Fairs).
We'd love to hear any feedback and how we can hit our £35,000 target. The two meetings will be held at 10am (with Mr Dunmall attending) and 8.30pm online via Teams. Please use the links below to join and feel free to drop any questions or feedback to fieldingPTFA@gmail.com.

The shop is very popular and relies on the support of volunteers. If you would consider helping in the future, there is a volunteer WhatsApp group to coordinate sort-outs and sales. Please email FieldingPTFAUniforms@gmail.com to join the group.

You may have read in the media that there is currently a focus on mobile phones and whether pupils should have access to these in school.
Read the full guidance here: DfE mobile phones in school.
Our procedures are unchanged, if parents provide pupils with a mobile phone, the phone should be handed in to the class teacher at the start of the school day, it will be handed back at the end of the day. Pupils are not allowed to use or access their phones during the school day, this includes during childcare or clubs.
For more guidance on how to talk to your child about heir mobile phone use have a look at this useful guide from the UK safer internet centre:
This year we had a lower response rate than last year with 383 pupils being represented.
We are delighted that our main strengths have been positively recognised by parents. The Governing Board and school leaders will begin to consider the areas for improvement over the next few months. We also recognise that some parents have highlighted other individual strengths and areas for development. Your comments will be shared in full with the Governing Board. For now I have provided a summary of your responses.
