  • Nursery admissions for September 2018, now open

    Fri 01 Dec 2017

Priority places for younger brothers and sisters

Applications are now open for nursery places to start from September 2018.  Our nursery takes children aged between three and up to five years old.  Parents of children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 may now apply for a nursery place.

Siblings of Fielding pupils have been given priority for admission by the Governing Body, followed by those children who need the most day care and then distance from the school.  By prioritising siblings, we are aiming to support as many working parents as possible at Fielding with affordable, high quality childcare for children from 3 to 11 years old.

From September, parents of nursery age children will benefit from our high quality nursery education and preparation for starting school with the added benefit of flexible childcare from 7.30am until 6pm, including around 9 weeks of school holiday time.

Many working parents will also be eligible for the government's 30 hours of free childcare offer for 3 and 4 year old children.

Nursery fees have been set at a very competitive rate compared to other local providers, where we have been able to pass on cost savings to parents through nursery being part of our main school.

Fielding parents are encouraged to apply early and wherever possible, indicate any flexibility in nursery need so that we can match places to the highest number of children and families.

Applications close on 15th January at 11.45pm.  Offers of places are likely to be made by the end of January.

  • PTFA Recycling at the Fielding Christmas Fair

    Fri 01 Dec 2017

Lucy Floyer and her team of helpers from Year 1 have volunteered to make recycling happen at the Christmas fair this year. To help reduce the environmental impact of the Christmas Fair, we are hoping to recycle as much waste as possible. The school can recycle paper and card but not other materials.

Each stall will be provided labelled recycling bags and Lucy and her team will go round the stalls on the day between 11 and 12 to talk to stalls what can and can't be recycled. Food waste collections will also be set up in certain areas.

Also boxes will be provided to seperate paper and card to be recycled in school collection.

The recycling team will be there at the end of fair to help distribute the bagged waste to people who offered to take it home for recycling.

    What you can do?

    Waste at your stall

Think about what waste your stall will produce and how your stall can separate their waste to recycling. Lucy and team can also help.

Take some recycling home to recycle

If you are happy to take a bag of recycling home with you from the fair (you don't have to wait until the end) we'd be very grateful. As far as possible it will be rinsed, and it can be arranged to delivered to you if you are able to offer to recycle it. The more volunteers we get the more waste from the fair will be recycled.

Please email fieldingptfaevents@gmail.com with offers of help with recycling.
