  • PTFA Volunteers needed to help on Summer Fair Organising Team

    Wed 10 May 2023 PTFA

We desperately need volunteers to help on the organising team for the Summer Fair. We'll be a group of about 10 people who look at which stalls to run, liaise with class reps on stall options and will involve a couple of meetings to plan layouts, themes, promotion amongst other bits.  Don't worry if you have no experience, there is a team happy to mentor you! We'll have two meetings to dicuss activities and some bits of time are required inbetween those meetings - nothing too onerous. Please email us at fieldingPTFA@gmail.com if you would like to join the team.

In the group stages, we played the following schools...

    Fielding vs John Perryn

                4 - 0

    Fielding vs Little Ealing B

                1 - 3

We successfully managed to make it through to the quarter-finals where we played Dormers well and won 4-0.

Tensions were high as we had made it through to the semi-finals against Acton Gardens. The team remained focused and won 3 - 1.

  • PTFA: Fielding parent shortlisted for National Volunteer Award

    Thu 04 May 2023 PTFA

The PTFA are proud to announce that Nolan O'Connor, former chair of the PTFA (2017-2022) has been shortlisted for the ParentKind PTA Awards in the 'National Volunteer of Year' category. If you are quick, you can also take part in the public vote which closes at midnight on Thursday 4 May (link below).

Many families within the Fielding community will know Nolan for his hard work and dedication to fundraising and running events at our school. He has helped us raise over £340,000 during his tenure as chair and single-handedly delivered some amazing events like Reindeer Poop Bingo during the Covid pandemic. Thankfully Nolan still plays an active role within the PTFA and we are really hoping we can give him the recognition he deserves. The awards form part of a National PTA Week which runs 15-19 May.  To vote for Nolan, you'll see our entry under Volunteer D in the England category (volunteer names had been redacted). He is one of six shortlisted volunteers. https://www.parentkind.org.uk/your-pta-expert/national-pta-week/national-pta-week-cast-your-vote-for-regional-pta-of-the-year
