  • Year 3,4,5 & 6 New Age Kurling

Wed 13 Dec 2023 Mr Francis

Two teams of Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 children represented Fielding in Kurling today at Featherstone High School.

We entered 2 teams consisting of Year 3 & 4 and another team of Year 5 & 6. Elias (6P), Dylan (6H), Imraan (6F), Hamdi (6F), Caitlin (6P), Ellie (6P) and William (5F) were extremely unlucky to finish 4th in their group with some great shots being made in the final game and Fielding leading 2-0. After a very tactical encounter, Clifton were able to push both of our stones out of the board to level the game and end with a draw.

Unfortunately for the Year 3 & 4 team, some children were unable to attend but Grace (Oak) & Elisa (4P) did not let that affect them and still were confident and showed a positive attitude. The girls done a great job accumulating 16 points in total and finishing 1st place in their group! Elisa (4P) and Grace (Oak) worked so well as a team and had a game plan. Elisa (4P) demonstrated some great accuracy as she was able to consistently knock the ball out of the board and Grace (Oak) had amazing shot selection as she pushed her stones into the scoring zone, so by working as a team, they managed to do incredibly well today. Unfortunately, as they were only a team of two today and the rules stated that teams must consist of 4, they were unable to progress onto the finals.

    Year 3 & 4 - 1st place in Group

    Year 5 & 6 - 4th place in Group

Well done to the following children for your efforts today.. Elisa (4P), William (5F), Grace (Oak), Caitlin (5P), Ellie (5P), Imraan (6F), Hamdi (6F), Dylan (6H), Elias (6P)

  • Christmas Music at Fielding Primary School

Wed 13 Dec 2023 Miss Lynch

As the Christmas holidays draw closer, I thought it was essential that I congratulate all of our talented musicians in their performances over the last couple of weeks.

I would like to thank our Junior Choir, guitar ensemble, orchestra, Musical Theatre Club and the children who took part in the Cadenza ensembles (as a part of the Ealing Music Service) who have all done exceptionally well representing our school in our community. They have shown great musicianship and enthusiasm but more importantly respect for the spaces they were performing in.

I could not be prouder! Bring on the spring term for more amazing opportunities to shine.

Thank you to all of the parents and children.

    Merry Christmas

    Miss Lynch

  • Honours even in Year 5 & 6 Boys PEAL Shield

Fri 08 Dec 2023 Mr Francis

Today, Fielding hosted St Josephs in the PEAL Shield. We started off well keeping possession of the ball and working it into St Josephs final third, creating some good chances but could not find the goal we were searching for. St Josephs took the lead with a finish inside the area and at this point we knew we needed to react and get the next goal. After lots of pressing, we won the ball and Ahmed (6F) hit a fantastic shot into the bottom left hand corner putting us back on level terms. We had to sustain a lot of pressure from St Josephs as they kept trying to break through our defence, however Oscar (6P) done superbly to intercept the passes and calmly keep possession and pick out some pin-point passes. Despite the boys’ efforts, we went into half time 2-1 down and knew if we kept doing the right things, the next goal would come, we just had to believe. We started the half well pressing high up and forcing St Josephs to turn over the ball and had a number of shots that were unlucky not to go in. Ahmed (6F) and Tem (6F) linked up well down the right hand side, with Tem (6F) going through on goal but St Josephs goalkeeper made a great save to deny him. The goal finally came when Tem (6F) received the ball, played a pass down the line to Ahmed (6F) who hit a first time shot which the goalkeeper parried, allowing Yaqoob to follow up with the finish to draw us level. Towards the end, with both teams going for the goal, Charlie (6H) had to pull off a fantastic reaction save.

    Final Score: 2 - 2

Congratulations to Zain (6P) for making his debut today for the Performance Team.

    Well done to.. Charlie (6H), Zain (6P), Oscar (6P), Matt (6S), Rory (5S), Daniel (6F), Yaqoob (6S), Ahmed (6F), Tem (6F).

  • 10 - 0 Victory for Year 5 & 6 Girls Performance Football team!

Fri 08 Dec 2023 Natasha Pasha

Today the Year 5 & 6 Girls Performance team played their third game of the Ealing Girls Cup against St Joseph’s Primary.

You could tell from the start there was a charged atmosphere as the girls were dominating possession. Qamara (5S), Coco (5P) and Flo G (6S) were all playing at the top and played some excellent one- two passes which resulted in Flo G (6S) scoring x 5 goals, Qamara (5S) scoring x 4 goals and finally Coco (5P) scoring x 1 goal. Not only were the attack amazing we had a solid defense that did not let a single ball get to the goalkeeper.

We were all holding our breath when a penalty was awarded to St Josephs for a handball, but our brilliant goalkeeper Adeliade (6S) maintained a clean sheet by saving the powerful penalty shot.  She made several excellent saves when St Josephs tried to score from long range. It was clear that today the girls established their authority, swiftly controlling possession and dictating the tempo of the game.

Our defense Emily (6S), Daisy (5P), Lois (5P), Martina (5S), Alice (5S) and Darcy (6P) were all a lot more composed when clearing the ball, they showed control on the ball compared to previous games. There were some excellent tackles and interceptions which made it very difficult for St Josephs to score.

At the final whistle, with a remarkable score line of 10 – 0, they showcased not only their individual talents but also their unity as a team, leaving an indelible mark of their prowess in the realm of girls' football.

    Fielding 10 – 0  St Josephs!

    Special thanks to…

    Qamara (5S), Flo (6S), Coco (5P), Darcy (6P), Emily (6S), Martina (5S), Alice (5S), Adeliade (6S), Lois (5p), Daisy (5P)
